Urbanise.....

"The Apple Capital Of The World and The Buckle of The Power Belt Of The Great Northwest"

I'm quoting the masthead of the local paper, The Wenatchee (WA) Daily World. Were in the dead center of the state. 150 miles east of Seattle, 150 miles west of Spokane, and about 160 miles from both the Canadian and Oregon borders. Much better than Jjaba's Portland.....

So what's the deal with Jjaba's Boise connection? Is that a commute of his from OR, or does he live in MT?

I'm calling you Hitleresque as you sit in your Arizona compound welcoming the fascist ways of our Government in the name of your lord. It's a good thing you're an old man, at least I think you are, because I know I don't have to worry about you running our future. Although I'm sure there are plenty more like you.

Ironically, it isn't the Hitler reference that will get Lowell's blood boiling, it's mentioning the city where a forumer lives.

I believe he taught at Boise State, before getting a job at Portland State.

Boise is in Idaho, btw ...

Just Jjaba and his cohort AIW being douchey.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

It has been raining giant raindrops in rather heavy downpours for several minutes now, here in Farmington. But the sun has been shining all along. Beautiful.

Here comes your yard watering eastside. [Hopefully]

No outing of where forum members live. That post should read:

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.

When jjaba reads day after damn day that local govt.s are buying SMART cars and Prius Toyotas, Detroit must suffer. Not only that, jjaba knows of several substantial Detroit companies who moved to fucking Ann Arbor. El BASTARDOS!

Better they move to Ann Arbor than Idaho or Oregon.

Wanna bet Jjaba doesn't eat Michigan potatoes--but those foreign ones?

Thanks Charlottepaul,
Since the reconfiguration of this site, I've been unable to successfully work the search function.

Frustrating, when I see a new thread, about a topic that was already beaten to death, started, and I'm unable to find the old one.

Quick! Someone suggesting the site isn't successful! BANG!

While we're talking about whackos, let's not forget those militia guys who wanted to start their own country in Idaho or some western state.

And with the advent of the "Chunnel", England is no longer the isolated island. Of course, they've had ferries for decades before that.

Was this the reason for that prof to emigrate from Michigan?

Welcome To The DetroitYES Forum, The Most Controversial Site About the City of Detroit on the 3W.

Moderator please move this to the hyperbole thread. I don't know about controversial but it's certainly a website with increasingly dumber participants. Thank God for the occasional DialH post to balance out the double-digit IQ's yammering on about what to order or how moving to Ann Arbor is abandoning Detroit but moving to another time zone isn't.
Hmmmm....maybe I should be a large map of metro Detroit for on my wall, so I better know the relationship of my city and the suburbs. - Supersport

I heard this story in church in Dearborn Hts yesterday from the middle-aged woman who figures in the story's own mouth:

On Friday evening (I believe just past), this woman took her mother and sister downtown to dinner at Slows. They had just parked on the street and were heading to the restaurant when some guys drove up and jumped out of the car, put a gun in the woman's face and demanded money or something. She used the alarm on her key fob and the guys took off, but not before taking the woman's hand-bag and scaring all of them out of the City and its vaunted come-back.

I have absolutely no reason to doubt this story as the lady appeared very credble. I wonder if crime isn't much worse than we think. I, by the way, do live in SW Detroit.

I wish you weren't a liar.
