It's time to get on with your life's work, son.

Dontrelle Willis, who hasn’t pitched in the majors since 2011 and split last year between the independent Long Island Ducks and the Angels’ Triple-A team, will sign a minor league deal with the Giants, according to John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Willis, who turns 32 on Sunday, played his best years in Florida, where he helped the Marlins win the 2003 World Series and won 22 games in 2005. He was part of the trade that sent Miguel Cabrera from Florida to Detroit, but he made only 24 appearances for the Tigers with a 6.86 ERA. He then bounced from Arizona, in 2010, to Cincinnati, in 2011, and finally out of the majors in 2012.

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.

Unbelievable, isn't it?

I really figured that the stop in Cincinnati was going to be the end of the road. (Or "the charade," more accurately.)
I absolutely cannot believe that Willis has any chance of ever again having success in the majors, but I think part of the reason why I'm saying so is that I really would like to be proven wrong.

As a ravine dweller I can confirm this.

For the Twitter campaign #FaceofMLB, this was part of a tweet supporting Jose Altuve.

I laughed so hard I almost died.

My MLB All Star ballot. Other than the bone thrown to hometown kid Nick, I think it's a pretty solid ballot...

American League
1B - Cabrera, Miguel - DET
2B - Kinsler, Ian - DET
SS - Ramirez, Alexei - CWS
3B - Castellanos, Nick - DET
C - Norris, Derek - OAK
DH - Martinez, Victor - DET
OF - Bautista, Jose - TOR
OF - Brantley, Michael - CLE
OF - Trout, Mike - LAA

National League
1B - Goldschmidt, Paul - ARI
2B - Walker, Neil - PIT
SS - Tulowitzki, Troy - COL
3B - Frazier, Todd - CIN
C - Gattis, Evan - ATL
OF - McCutchen, Andrew - PIT
OF - Puig, Yasiel - LA
OF - Stanton, Giancarlo - MIA
By using the El Dorado Atmospheric and Oceanic temperatures thermal map. I caculated the contrary direction where the polar jet stream is going and it didn't look pretty.

Carlos Pena signed a minor league deal with the Rangers and will report to AAA Round Rock (Texas).
My hand to God, she's gonna be at Carnegie Hall. But you - I'll let you have her now at the old price, OK? Which is, which is anything you wanna give me. Anything at all.

We've got a Carlos Pena thread, dude. And obviously SR has not heard about this, or else she would be planning a trip to the nearest venue.... Nashville, July 11-13. Luckily, we have tix to Book of Mormon, or we'd be celebrating our anniversary in TN.

The Book of Mormon outranks Carlos Pena? I don't know what to do, here....chastise SR for not having a strong pimp hand, or congratulate you on yours

Oh wait.....you said she doesn't know, yet. Check that

Sure, it's only the Padres, but Tim Lincecum just threw career no-hitter No. 2.

Both the Cubs and Nationals are not scheduled to play a game today. On a Sunday? Why would MLB schedule an off day for teams on a probably the biggest game day of the week?

And I just remembered I have Google. Apparently the Cubs aren't playing on a Sunday in 82 years because of the gays. No, seriously.
