Ummm...it was a track meet alright. Just ended very similarly to when I ran against Alan Jefferson in the 100 back in 1986.

Um, yeah. I was a little wrong on that.

A friend is an Indiana grad and has been talking all kinds of shit this season. Not any more, he ain't.

Indiana got their asses kicked by a team that plays nothing but zone. Best team in America, my ass.

Story on Yahoo Sports about thebeav's former dormmate.

While there are basketball courts out back, Robinson, 46, doesn't play. He stays in shape mostly by taking long walks in short spaces, round and round the yard, nowhere to go.
I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.

Maybe Kilpatrick can be a bunk-mate.

My fondest memory is teaching Robinson how to save a file in the West Quad Michigan House computer lab. He wasn't even supposed to be there since he was staying in Adams House.

The Louisville kid's injury was some gruesome shit. I hope he's OK.

Still, this tournament is Louisville's to win. Michigan can beat Syracuse (and I hope they do, because most Syracuse J-school grads I've met think the sun shines out of their asses) but I can't see anyone stopping Louisville. They can turn a close game into a double-digit lead in a few minutes and, once they have it, they keep it.

I didn't watch the second half. Did he ever end up coming back in the game? Didn't look like anything a hot towel couldn't fix. Rub some dirt on it and walk it off, pussy.
By using the El Dorado Atmospheric and Oceanic temperatures thermal map. I caculated the contrary direction where the polar jet stream is going and it didn't look pretty.

Butler University coach Brad Stevens has accepted the head coaching position with the Boston Celtics, according to a release from the university.

Stevens, who led the Bulldogs to back-to-back Final Fours spent six seasons as Butler’s head coach.

"We truly love Butler University and Indianapolis, and are very thankful to have had the opportunity to celebrate so many wonderful things together,” Stevens said in a statement. “What makes Butler truly unique is the people that we have been so blessed to work with. When it comes time for our kids to look at schools, we will start with Butler University."

Sure you will, Opie. Sure you will.

Somewhere, the members of the Atlantic 10 and Horizon League are laughing their asses off at Butler, which basically joined a conference based on three strong seasons of men's basketball only to learn their coach just had his "You're a real boy now, Pinocchio" moment and figured out he'll never be able to recruit against or play with Georgetown, Marquette or St. John's on a regular basis. Rather than risk a pummeling, Stevens heads to Boston. If he flames out, big fucking deal ... he still has the cache from his Butler years to bargain for a better job than Butler. If he doesn't flame out, he's sitting pretty.

Either way, Butler is probably fucked. And I find the whole thing delightful.
