Watching a movie. I guess I didn't realize that Kelly McGillis was old. Cross post to People I didn't realize were gay.

Danger Zone!
I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.

Pretty cool tidbits in the story.

One of my favorite TV shows, The League, has two 30-something characters who are brothers. The most recent episode I watched introduced their mom ... who is played by Julia Duffy, formerly the hot, spoiled, rich-girl maid from "Newhart."

I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now, what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary.

I'm afraid to Google an image. She was cute in a spoiled, rich girl kind of way.

Yeah, seeing her on The League kinda reminded me of watching a Tigers player reach first base. It almost seems as if Julia and Tom Brookens stopped aging in 1986 but someone puts that unconvincing Hollywood old-person makeup on them when they go out in public to hide this fact.

Blazing Saddles was released 39 years ago today.

To put that in perspective, 39 years before Blazing Saddles was released (1935) the top grossing films of the year included two movies starring Shirley Temple (Curly Top, and the littlest Rebel), as well as Greta Garbo (Anna Karenina), Clark Gable & Jean Harlow (China Seas), Errol Flynn and Olivia de Havilland (Captain Blood), Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers (Top Hat), and Clark Gable and Charles Laughton (Mutiny and the Bounty).
