It's sunny and almost 70 out, where are you from?

It was fucking freezing in my living room when I wrote that. And it's going to be about 50 tonight

Finally dropped to a low of 72 overnight....AC was not running 24-7. Which is nice.

Boo-fucking-hoo.

I live in a functioning city half way between the Atlantic Ocean and The Great Smoky Mountains and I have to run my AC a lot.

And he'll make sure you know it.

I wake up this morning. It's 66 in the house and I'm walking around in shorts. Comfy. Why in the dead of winter am I fucking freezing when the thermostat is set to heat up the house to 68 from 53 in the mornings? Relative humidity?

Did you forget to divide by 2? Or to take into account per capita?

So I woke up this morning to a 59 degree house because I left the windows in the back of the house open (moo, moo, my bad). No problem. I'll just turn the furnace on and heat the house up and Mrs. D-Day (who was still crashed) will never be the wiser. Flip the thermostat and..........

Nothing. Fuck.

Always remember, friends and neighbors, when you replace the thermostat you need to tighten the screw down on the wire slot for the other red wire (the slot that is jumpered) or your furnace won't turn on. Failure to do so, subjects you to a much greater risk of a heart attack

Also, did I just disqualify myself from being in the running for being the last on to turn my heat on, even if I turned it on for a half hour and then turned it off again?
Where the hell am I going? And what the hell am I doing in this handbasket?

I already caved, so at least you're not the first.

I was probably the first, but you know what they say, "happy wife, happy life." We turned ours on at the beginning of October to keep our 19 year-old cat comfortable.
