These guys are going to be brewing up our latest non-cheap beer in Cincinnati. The brewery complex is pretty awesome, I must admit. Also, any brewery I can walk to (there are currently 2) get's an "A" in my book.

So I'm in upstate NY for a couple days at Mother-in-law D-Day's place and I see Saranac Brewery Oktoberfest at the Price Chopper ( love the name of that school and the fact that it has a meat cleaver in it's logo).

What the hell, I just got paid today......

What an awesome beer. I like Sam Adams Oktoberfest, but Jesus it's heavy. This like Sam Adams Oktoberfest, but much lighter and not as heavy on the malt. Good call on my part........I recommend it if you happen to see it

Was offered a "craft beer" Saturday night which turned out to be Angry Orchard hard cider. Didn't look at the label so I was expecting beer and not apple flavor but it was surprisingly good.

It's by the Sam Adams folks. The apple ginger is pretty tasty.

I stopped for some after work and they were out of the crisp apple but did have the apple ginger which I opted against. At $10 I'm hesitant to experiment and may wait until someone offers me a free sample before committing myself. How would you describe it, like apple flavored Vernor's?

Honeybee Market has something called Horny Goat beer in a 24 bottle variety box. I bought one on impulse. How bad could it be? Actually, the blonde lager is good. Really good.

Just broke into a growler of Shorts Raisin Apollo from the post race binge last weekend. I don't remember this being so good but it is off the charts good tonight. I believe they also bottle this one so if you see it.....get it.
