While harboring no delusions that the cremains of the church will be preserved, I thought it was a cool building. One article said that it was "reported" to have been empty for at least ten years. No, I was invited inside by a group that was worshiping in there and it wasn't ten year ago. It looked to be in pretty good shape inside at the time, but pictures posted more recently by an adult show holes in the roof.

If it wasn't on Woodward it would be like, oh well, another church burned up, but this is going to leave a hole.

My ire isn't so much that someone is mourning the loss of a church but that they are blaming it on suburbanites and the building of the new arena. I wouldn't be at all surprised that it's arson, but I really don't think the Ilitch's would pay someone to burn it down for insurance money considering they don't even own it.

A squatter sounds more likely. And if they're in a burning mood, they should get to work on the Brewster Towers. God knows they could bring those down faster than the crews working on them now.
My hand to God, she's gonna be at Carnegie Hall. But you - I'll let you have her now at the old price, OK? Which is, which is anything you wanna give me. Anything at all.

Holy Shit!

That section of 94 is fucked. Plus all the infrastructure underneath.

Wow.

If you zoom in over the exit sign, you can see fire coming out of the sewer.

SR and I slept through this, even though it's literally 200 yards from our house.
