"We don't board up houses in East English Village," our association president, Bill Barlage, says.

I just see Sam Wyche on the microphone...

Engine 41 was just emptied out and boarded up a few days ago. It's technically an active company with a roster assigned to it, but like several other companies it is deactivated most days and its crew is detailed elsewhere.

Here is E41 minus the plywood from google Street View.

Overall, the contract seems to have been written by amateurs.

Someone should alert D-day. I count four full and five partial sheets of roof decking. Probably $30 worth right there.

Sad day when our fire stations have to be watched closely in case of arson.

The East Jefferson Starbucks is boarded up...even the drive through window has a cut-to-fit piece of plywood.

It was too dark to snap a pic...

Guarding the plywood, the plywood must be protected!

I noticed on the drive to work at the bar tonight that they finally boarded up Wigle Rec Center. The makeshift bedroom is still there in the doorway, though.

Wow, that sucks. I used to stop there every morning on my way to work from GP to the west side. They seemed to do decent business. Probably too many robberies and such. Too bad.
