And it still looks like a couple dozen dead bodies were drained in that parking lot...

Then the police come and they scurry away like cockroaches.

Soon as the cops leave, the cockroach shows his face again.

And just to mark just how much "progress" Detroit is making, let's go back to last fall when the Tigers were in the World Series:

When they spot the cops, they run and hide.

The cops patrol the area, but stuff like this develops anyway.

At least sometimes the cops catch a guy.

But the show must go on.

That same piece of shit was at it today. I stopped and asked if he worked for the city, he said yes but then said he didn't bring his ID with him.

Then he jumped on his bicycle and took off when some of the people who just paid him asked the same questions.

Is it really to much to ask of a city to police one of it's vacant lots located within blocks of a Major League Baseball field in the central business district?

When you're talking about Detroit, the answer is yes.

So that is the genesis of DY
"Before indoor plumbing and chlorination of the water supply, outliving dysentery required an intestinal fortitude that was considered special. These kids today don’t even give dysentery a second thought."

Welcome to Downtown Detroit, where empty city-owned lots are used by nearby club owners (I think the bar fka Times Square is called Icon this week) without any police interference whatsoever.

I want to give you one of my coffee mugs. You'll be surprised at how they nice they are. I was. - Marvin Crawford

I'm sure it is just AAA employees picking up the documents they stored in Tony Peroni's building.

So I'm pretty sure this is unsanctioned. I called the police and--without even asking where the exact location was--she said it wasn't an emergency situation and didn't warrant a call.

Detroit rises.

How many cops are on patrol down here right now?

You need George Jackson's home phone, seeing as the DDA still owns the lot.

You should pull into the lot in your car and when they ask for money tell them to fuck off, it's not their lot. Encourage them to call the cops on you. Just don't leave your car unattended.
By using the El Dorado Atmospheric and Oceanic temperatures thermal map. I caculated the contrary direction where the polar jet stream is going and it didn't look pretty.

All manner of new (old) parking scams since the Masonic has beefed up its programming. Central District says to call 911, which is ridiculous. Being the dutiful Detroit masochist, I've called once or twice when some junkie has harassed me on to pay him to park on the street. The last time I got into an argument with the 911 operator who claimed they must be legit because they had orange vests and flags. She hung up when I asked her if the sun revolved around the earth, or the earth around the sun.

She probably didn't know.
My Goodness! What's going on? What's happening?

So what you are all saying is that DPD's effort to crack down on crime by pushing parking off the streets and into secure lots has done nothing but create more opportunities for criminal activity?

Nice!
